Privacy, in plain English
Last updated: 30 October 2026. This policy covers the Trickle app and the surfon.co.uk website.
Who we are
Surfon is a small app studio run by Matt Wise in North Devon, UK. If you have any question about your data, email hello@surfon.co.uk.
Trickle: what it reads
To count your minutes, Trickle reads how long you spend in each app on your phone, using Android's usage access. It uses this to show your usage breakdown and to know when an app's minutes have run out.
Trickle: where your data goes
Nowhere. Your app usage, limits and day plans are stored only on your phone. Trickle has no account, no sign-in and no analytics, and it does not send your app activity to Surfon or anyone else. Uninstalling Trickle deletes this data.
Accessibility access
Trickle asks for Android's Accessibility permission. It uses it only to know which app is open, so it can rest an app when its minutes run out or during a blocked time. Trickle does not read, collect or share what is on your screen, what you type, your messages or your passwords.
Payments
Trickle Pro is bought through Google Play. Google handles your payment details and tells Trickle only whether Pro is active. Surfon never sees your card details. Google's own privacy policy covers its part.
